Some thoughts on press reports of attacks on migrants in Ireland
During July an Indian man was reported as having been assaulted in Tallaght, a large outer suburb of Dublin; the details of the attack (see screencap below from RTE news) meant it made national headlines. In turn that unleashed a torrent of similar stories, including a distressing one about a little girl in Waterford.
